Common Questions
What if my kids won't cooperate?
Honestly? That's normal — and we're great at it. We keep sessions fun and low-pressure. The candid moments between the posed ones are usually the best shots. Kids who are "difficult" often end up with the most memorable images.
What if the weather is bad?
Hawaii weather is generally beautiful, but we monitor conditions closely. If something unexpected comes up, we'll work with you to reschedule. We've photographed in light rain and golden clouds that made the images even more dramatic.
When is the best time for photos?
Golden hour — the last 60–90 minutes before sunset. The light is warm, soft, and flattering on every skin tone. We'll give you a specific time based on the date and location of your session.
Where do sessions take place?
We photograph at the Big Island's most beautiful beach locations along the Kona and Kohala coasts — Waikoloa locations: Anaehoomalu Bay, Hilton Beach. Kohala Coast Locations: Mauna Lani Auberge, Fairmont Orchid, Mauna Kea Beach Hotel. Kailua-Kona Locations: Old Kona Airport, Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa. How does pricing work exactly?
Session fees cover the photographer's time. After your 48-hour proof gallery is delivered, you choose which images to purchase — you're never locked into buying a set package. There are no hidden fees or surprise minimums.
How far in advance should I book?
As early as possible, especially for peak travel times. Golden hour slots are limited — we only photograph a handful of families each evening. Many visitors book before they even land in Hawaii.
